SKU: 11568Vintage syroco style carved Our Mother of Sorrows plaque. This piece is made of a type of pressed wood pulp material. Gorgeous detail to this piece with a carved wreath of oak leaves and acorns around the image of Mary. This is a used vintage item that shows signs of wear to the edges on the carving (please see all photos). There is a hanger on the back so you can easily hang this piece on the wall.
The oak was one of the several species of trees that were looked upon as the tree from which the Cross was made. Because of its solidity and endurance, the oak is also a symbol of the strength of faith and virtue, and of the endurance of the Christian against adversity.
