Saint Servatius medal. The front depicts the saint and the reverse side is marked "Pray For Us". This detailed die-cast medal is made in the region of Italy that produces the finest quality medals in the world.
Saint Servatius (Servatus) was an Armenian missionary who died in 384 and was buried in Maastricht. He was also the bishop of Tongeren.
Patronage: He is the patron saint of the city of Maastricht and the towns of Schijndel and Grimbergen. He is invoked against foot/leg ailments, lameness, limping, rheumatism, rats, and mice. He is one of the Ice Saints along with Sts. Boniface and Pancras. His feast day is May 13.
