Saint Louis of Toulouse medal that depicts the saint on the front and the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa on the back. This detailed die-cast medal is made in the region of Italy that produces the finest quality medals in the world.

Saint Louis of Toulouse (Feb. 9, 1274 - Aug. 19, 1297), also known as Louis of Anjou, was a Neapolitan prince of the Capetian House of Anjou and a Catholic bishop. He was the great nephew of Saint Louis, King of France. Patronage: Valencia (Spain), Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, Baler (Philippines).

Located in Central California, Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa is named after Saint Louis, Bishop of Toulouse, and was founded fifth in the chain on September 1st, 1772 by Father Junipero Serra. The mission was founded three years after the fathers first discovered La Cañada de Los Osos – the Valley of the Bears – during a failed trip from San Diego in search of Monterey.
