St. Elizabeth is the patron of hospitals, nurses, bakers, brides, countesses, dying children, exiles, falsely accused, homeless people, lace-makers, widows, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Jaro, Third Order of Saint Francis, and the city of Košice, Slovakia; invoked against the plague. Her feast day is November 17th.
